My Name is Greg Martin
A little bit about me
Close friends & family call me Gogo. My journey in filmmaking & photography dated back in 2011, when I was learning Photoshop & Graphic Design. I developed an interest in photography so I started exploring every topics on the subject, paying close attention to other people's work, in particular their lighting and composition.
Overtime I trained myself and developed an eye for details which now helps me capture and edit images and videos differently from other content creators.
Where it all started
During my freshman year in college, I used my refund money to buy my first DSRL Camera and took thousands of pictures and videos to get hands-on experience. I started filming low-budget music videos for local artists but making them look expensive by using my imagination on set and creative edits to keep the viewers entertained. For every project, regardless of the budget I challenge myself to make it look better than the last. I was very motivated and eager to be the best in my surroundings. Often times I would even go as far as comparing myself to big-time Hollywood directors/producers. Even though I did not have the professional gear & team like them, I would tell myself that "It is not about the equipment It's about the man behind the equipment" & I was determined to become that man.
Whenever I am free, I would write scripts, shoot short movies, and documentaries to sharpen my skills. Gradually, I invested in better equipment, and experimented with different filmmaking techniques from three-point lighting, to creative cinematic composition/motion, sound recording/Foleys, etc.
In 2019, with the help of my good friend & partner Richardson Issacs, we birth Gogo Design Studio in his guest bedroom. Within a year we moved the studio to a commercial place because we wanted more space to expand our creativity, and we wanted our clients to feel more comfortable.
Today, with the help of my team I directed and shot 100+ music videos, and short films, helped several small businesses get more leads, and generate more sales through our video & photography services.
